This page is an index of the thrill rides that Hersheypark has.
Click the name of the ride you want to view.
Make sure you leave behind all your electronic devices, this ride's a soaker. Great for those hot summer days.
Get there early though; at midday the line can be two hours long.
It scores an 8 on a scale of 10.

This wild ride flips you upside down in random ways. Empty the change out of your pockets and
hold on to your loose articles. While it may look sickening, the ride isn't too bad.
This ride gets 9 points.

The Coal Cracker's not the best way to cool off but is still a great ride for a group of up to five.
The more people you have, the better.
This one gets an 8 out of 10.

Bumper cars are a highlight at every park, and this ride is no exception. The ride at is short two minutes, but this creates a fairly fast line. Also, the design of the new cars (May '95) allows a skilled driver to maneuver backwards (even though you aren't supposed to).
I would bump this one up to an 8.

If you don't like rides that spin, then this ones not for you. If you do, you're in for a great ride.
The base is nestled in trees, but the top offers a view right over them.
The Flying Falcon gets 8 out of 10 points.

This classic ride has been rebuilt in a less-than-thrilling version.
This new ride is much safer (and therefore less exciting) than many similar rides at
other parks. It offers meager thrills at a wait time that is rarely worth it.
Although it is a good ride for children, the Frontier Flyers scores 5 out of 10 points.

This ride is most definitly not one of my favorites. Unless you like the music of boy bands, there is little you
will enjoy about this ride. While it may appear to travel fast, the thrill is not as impressing.
I score it at a 2.

This classic ride is great for the family. The thrill seekers can sit at the ends of the boat for a better ride,
and the kids can sit with their parents at the middle.
An 8 is what this ride gets.

While this ride offers a cheap thrill, when it goes backwards it can be kind of fun.
It's another great way to dry off.
The Rodeo scores a mere 6.

Tidal Force is one of the tallest splashdown rides existing. It carries riders 150 feet into the air before plummeting them back and drenching them. While it is a great way to get yourself wet, the excitement is short lived.
(You might be better off dumping a bucket of water on your head.)
Be prepared for a sudden slow down; this one scores a 5.

The Scrambler and rides like it are known for pinning you to the side of your seat and spinning you with
tremendous force. If you ride with someone else, make them sit on the outside.
It scores a 6 out of 10.

The Tilt-a-Whirl is great for younger guests but doesn't offer much for adults. Be careful if you
have a weak stomach, the spinning may be fast (not normally).
This ride gets another 6.

This double ride has some good points and some bad. Both rides are good. Winding Rivers has sudden turns and drops and gets you pretty wet. Straight shooters is pretty fast, but is short. The biggest problem is that this ride is plagued with long and slow moving lines (although these pictures don't show it well).
The ride, as a whole, scores a 7.

The Wave Swinger offers a fun ride and offers a general feeling of floating. There isn't much to say about this ride;
it isn't much different from the swings at the local playground.
Nevertheless, this ride gets a well deserved 7.

The Whip was built as a model of the old whip ride that was demolished many years ago.
It returns with neither a nostalgic nor modern feeling which greatly affects its score.
The ride creates deafening noise and weak thrills (if that's what you want to call them).
This one rolls in at a 4.
